"You can just copy my old database and upload that information right into Seraphim, right?"
- A River with very low, very wide banks goes very slow. It meanders, and to the naked eye, it's not even moving. But a River with high sturdy banks allows a river to flow with speed and force that you can't even imagine. This is how we view the migration process. A migration approach of "just send us whatever you have in whatever format you have it and we'll dump it into the program" has proven to be a very poor, highly inefficient, and ultimately frustrating approach. Instead, we've put Your data is very important to us. If you put bad data in, you will get bad data out down the line. As such, we've put some "river banks" in place to make sure that your migration is both efficient and powerful. We've found that the best way to do this is to use a set of prescribed data templates. Any data that should be migrated must be entered in the proper format according to it's template. Don't worry though! We'll provide you with a series of easy to read and outlined data templates that you can use to properly format your info.
"We're a multi-campus church. You can train each of my campuses individually right?"
- We love getting new churches up to speed. Since the Seraphim rollout process is a gradual one, multi-campus churches often do a phased rollout as well. One campus will get Seraphim set up and functional. Then the second campus, then the third, etc. This poses a training issue: How do we train all your different staff teams at each church? We don't believe that pulling every team member together across all your campuses makes sense (how would you even begin to plan that?!). Additionally, we need to make sure that we're being efficient with our time as well, while still providing a spectacular experience for you and your team where they feel supported and trained appropriately. Our approach is personal, but also effective. For your first campus, we will provide normal training via webinars and training sessions. We will record each meeting, and catalog it for your church. Once the first campus is trained and up to speed, your next campus will receive access to these recorded sessions, and that campus team will be able to watch personalized training videos applicable to your church. Then, that campus can then schedule "consulting" sessions with your training rep, so that they can discuss questions without having to repeat the content.
"I don't need to learn anything, do I? Who's got time for that?"
- I'm sure your world is incredibly busy! With kids to raise, homes to maintain, and lawns to mow, there's plenty of stuff out there that requires your time and attention. But picture this for me. Imagine you have a young cousin in college. Now imagine that your cousin does a ton of planning about his future. He buys all the right books, he goes to every class, and he's done a lot of work to get there. On the outside, he is a very successful college student! But what if EVERY TIME he sat down to do a homework assignment, he had to call the professor to ask her how to do the task that's been assigned? That would be a clear indicator that this student was not having a very successful college experience, right? Right. Similarly, we want to put you in a position to be able to "own" your Seraphim experience at your church. This does not mean that we're not here for you. We absolutely are! And our support team is always here to lend a helping hand. But to have the best experience possible, we encourage you to take good notes during your training sessions so that you can reference them later. We'll also give you access to our help center so you can find helpful articles and videos to assist you with your various tasks and responsibilities in the Seraphim system.
"I have an assigned Support Engineer, I get a weekly appointment with them from now until the end of time, right?"
- Don't get me wrong, we love our customers! It's always wonderful to catch up with our clients and hear how life is going in the Seraphim world. However, in the same spirit as the question above, the best success is reached when you can become self-sufficient. We don't want you to just have Seraphim, we want you to run it. We will start out meeting with you on a very regular basis, but over time, our regular cadence meetings will begin to taper off as you gain more and more comfort with the system. That way, you have the knowledge you need, and you'll only need to contact us for more consultative help rather than for the simple stuff.
